Assalmu Alykum, dear brothers and sisters,
We thank Allah (SWT) for giving us the ability to fast in the month of Ramadan, worship Him, and fulfil our religious and wordly obligations.
The Australian Fatwa Council has announced that the last day of Ramadan will be Tuesday, April 9th 2024, and the day of Eid will be Wednesday, April 10th 2024.
Following the announcement, arrangements have been made for the Eid Salaah at the Geelong Mosque on Wednesday, April 10th 2024. InshAllah, there will be two Salaah sessions; please take note of the time.
Session 1: 07:00 AM
Session 2: 08:00 AM
Those following the moonsighting arrangements will be made to perform Eid Salaah at the Geelong Mosque. Pending announcement.
We are also collecting Zakat Al-Fitr on behalf of Islamic Relief Australia, which must be paid before the Eid Salaah.
Please plan your journey to and from the Masjid, and keep neighbours’ rights and traffic laws in mind.
