The Islamic Council of Victoria, together with Muslim Women Australia, are pleased to offer a unique and limited opportunity for Muslim men to become agents of change to help build healthier families and communities by tackling violence against women and children as well as family and domestic violence.
Saving Face And Cultural Empowerment (FACE) for men is an initiative of Muslim Women Australia that aims to use faith as a tool to empower men within the Muslim community to prevent violence against women and children. FACE uses Islamic principles as its foundation and will equip participants with the knowledge and understanding of these principles as a tool for self-development.
As part of this ground-breaking initiative, you are invited to join us for workshop sessions looking at the drivers of family and domestic violence in our communities and powerful, research-based and faith-grounded frameworks to begin to tackle this challenge and be better placed to engage in the broader discussion in society on the issue of domestic violence from an Islamic perspective.
Workshop Dates – 1st and 2nd of October at the Islamic Council of Victoria
Location: ICV Mosque. 66 – 68 Jeffcott Street, West Melbourne VIC 3003.
